Meredith Maltby is a writer, editor, project manager, retail specialist, real estate developer, social media master and former kosher ice cream owner – to name a few.

Over the course of her career, she has worked in house and as a consultant helping companies find their voice, activate their property, and discover opportunities for growth and expansion. With a background in copy-writing, content strategy and business development, she has worked with a variety of brands in the real estate, hospitality, fashion and tech space, bringing a diverse perspective to her work in an ever-evolving landscape where industries are constantly overlapping.

As the VP of Retail Development for Industry City, Meredith led the retail activation of the 6 million square foot industrial redevelopment in Brooklyn. This included creating a thriving Food Hall, sourcing unique tenants for permanent and pop-up spaces, as well as building partnerships with such place-making events as Brooklyn Flea, Smorgasburg, Color Factory and more.

 

She co-founded Chozen Ice Cream, an all-natural ice cream company, where she was responsible for the brand development, the go-to market strategy and the expansion of the line into 85 stores nationwide including Whole Foods. Chozen Ice Cream was featured in The New York Times, New York Post, People, and GOOP.

Prior to launching Chozen, she held the position of Digital Media Director for Diane von Fursterberg, where she oversaw the digital development of the brand, including the social media. Mobile and content strategy for the company.

Meredith was a Senior Editor at Fashionweekdaily.com and was Editorial Director for julib.com. Her freelance work has appeared in New York Magazine, Town & Country, Interview, WWD, and Refinery29,

Originally from New York, she graduated cum laude from University of Pennsylvania with a degree in political science and art history.
